polishSWATCHES: Sinfulcolors Mint Apple & Milani Neon Totally 80's = Spring Bling

I am so loving the color combination of Sinfulcolors Mint Apple & Milani Neon Totally 80's.  The colors together are insane!  I have to thank Nicole from Magic Maid for creating my lemming for this color (Sinfulcolors Mint Apple).  For my brown beauties that read the blog this color is gorgeous against brown/warm skin tones and even has a hint of golden shimmer in it... RUN!, not walk, to the nearest drugstore to get this.  THANK YOU NICOLE! :)  Because I kept passing up this color and decided to go ahead and purchase it thanks to you.

polishSWATCHES: Sinfulcolors Mint Apple & Milani Neon Totally 80's = Spring Bling

Deciding to put these two colors together stemmed from some advice my really good friend gave me in order to keep myself in an upbeat mood today. She said to make sure that I surrounded myself with a lot of yellow since it's a happy color and known to lighten your mood and I added the green in because it's suppose to be a calming soothing color and that duo together is exactly what I need.  :)

I applied 3 coats of Mint Apple to my nails and had no issues at all with the coverage, formula, or brush.  If I had to describe this color I would have to say it's more of a teal green than mint green with those gorgeous hidden gold shimmers, because the the blue undertone is more obvious than the yellow..  As far as Milani Totally 80's I like this color as well, but noticed that the color varies a little.  Placed on a stark white french tip the color looks more like a neon yellow like on my index finger with no green in it in real life and on my other fingers it looks more like the neon yellow green it's suppose to be.

I didn't place my topcoat on before snapping these pictures, but today my topcoat of choice was CND's Super Shiney.  I've reached that point of the bottle where my Seche Vite topcoat has become stickey like syrup and hard to work with, so I decided this would be the perfect time to put the CND topcoat to the test.

So far so good with it and I think I may like it, but I'll be sure to update you and do a full review on it soon.

polishSWATCHES: OPI No Room For Blues, but boy do I have em'

OPI No Room For Blues seemed like the perfect polish for me to wear on my nails today because this week is looking like a week that' will test my patience, my strength, and my will.  I'm sure everyone has felt like that at some point in time or another. .. right?!

So, I said "No Room for Blues" was going to be my mantra for the week no matter how rough it gets.  I'm determined to remain happy go lucky and carefree if it kills me, lol.

SinfulColors Rise & Shine... China Glaze Turned up Turquoise Dupe!

Yes, Sinful Colors Rise & Shine is looking like a China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise Dupe!

Okay ladies, I couldn't get a picture to catch the true hue of this polish today to save my life, but I still wanted to share with you all that these shades are so similar to each other in color that I was able to part ways with one and gift it to my daughter.

Both are true turquoises and gorgeous shades displaying more green undertones in real life than what is displayed in the photos.  First chance I get with the correct lighting I plan to snap another photo of the two and update this post with the additional pics.  I was really pleased with Rise and Shines coverage.

Index Finger: Turned Up Turquoise

Middle Finger: Rise and Shine

The really good thing about the Sinful Colors Rise and Shine polish versus the China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise is that with the first coat of polish there was no tip show or VNL (visible nail line).  With several coats of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise it shows it's just slightly (and I do mean slightly) darker than Sinful's Rise and Shine, but the difference really isn't drastic enough to reason owning both polishes.

polishSWATCHES: Sally Hansen Commander in Chic + Orly Foil FX Luxe

I've been having Sally Hansen Commander in Chic for quite a while now and have never swatched or worn it.  I seriously don't know what has taken me so long because this was a favorite of mine when I purchased it.  I think once I make the transaction and the polish is mine I just have comfort in knowing that I own it... I dunno.

At any rate, today I decided it was time to break this color out and give it a test drive on my tips and I LOVE IT!  It's very chic!  I'm also in love with my Orly Foil FX polish in Luxe and I'm now thinking about getting Rage.

I've been very hesitate to give Rage continue...

polishSWATCHES: OPI Ink- An All Time Favorite!

polishSWATCHES: OPI Ink- An All Time Favorite!

It's purple, it's blue, it's shimmery... it's HOT!

What's NOT to like about OPI Ink?!

As corny as it sounds this is one of those polishes I find myself gazing at inside the bottle.  I absolutely love how it really does remind you of well ink and reflects two of the colors I love the most inside of one bottle.

After wearing various polish brands this week it was nice to switch it up and wear some OPI.  I was pleasantly reminded why I love their formula after an easy breezy manicure session.  No need for coat after coat, formula consistency was just right, and two coats is generally more than enough for the perfect polish...EVERYTIME.

Now, if I could only solve my dilemma of brainstorming up the perfect mani to wear this weekend on me and the hubby's weekend getaway.  Any ideas anyone?!
