Due to me putting the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish to the test this week I'm unable to do polish swatches, but I thought this would be a good time to discuss the upcoming polish trends for 2010. It has been stated that the colors for 2010 will be bright and colorful and judging from the collections from both China Glaze and Zoya this statement definitely rings true.

With colors capable of not only uplifting your spirit as well as your mood, it seems as though each shade was carefully picked to ensure that it was reminiscent of the colors of Spring. I don't kow about you, but I cannot help but to think of Easter with each glance I get of these shades.

And while Zoya and Nubar are proving that shimmers and finishes will continue to be big in 2010, OPI is proving that more subdued pops of color that might even be considered Victorian will also be popular on the tips. This was actually made evident during New York Fashion Week. When models from houses such as Chanel and Marc Jacobs were seen wearing these deliciously divine colors on their perfectly manicured fingers, as they modeled the Spring 2010 collections.

What I'm anxious to see though is the 2010 collection collaboration between Sally Hansen and fashion designer Tracey Reese, set to be released in April 2010. I have a feeling this particular collection will provide us with bold punches of color that are not only vivid, but offer contrast that's well balanced. With shades such as Pomegranate and Lagoon, I'm sure the collection won't disappoint.

Another collection that's sure to not disappoint is this Barielle Wildflower collection. Again, reminiscent of the beautiful colors of Spring... this 2010 collection gives you it all! Color, shimmer, and even the peace of mind that you're contributing to a worthy cause (Ovarian Cancer Research) when you purchase.
Also, nail art and nail applications such as Minx Nails and foiling will continue to gain popularity and be an ever-growing trend this 2010 season. With nail art being displayed on the pages of magazines such as Elle (USA) it will continue to become more widely accepted to dress your nails up a bit.
So expect to see things such as more colorful gel nails, nail art, and lots of pretty color for the Spring 2010 season.
